Uncemented Hip Stem
An Uncemented Hip Stem is an orthopedic implant used in total hip replacement surgery. It is designed to fit securely into the femur without bone cement, allowing natural bone growth around the implant for long-term stability and fixation
Uncemented Hip Stem is an advanced femoral implant used in primary total hip arthroplasty (hip replacement). Unlike cemented implants, it does not require bone cement for fixation. Instead, the implant is specially designed with porous or textured surfaces that encourage the patient’s natural bone to grow onto or into the implant, creating strong and lasting biological fixation.
Modern uncemented stems include conventional and short-stem designs. Short stems help preserve bone stock, improve load distribution, and reduce stress shielding for more natural biomechanics.
